I'll be watching. Australia should stroll it, but England have to come good some time.
I wish I could have gone to this.

I know nothing about this sport but fancied a bet on it for some interest. Checked the rankings which says wales are 9th and Papua New Guinea 16th. Yet on bet365 wales have got a 20+ handicap and Papua New Guinea -20. Mistake or do they know something we don't?

PNG are playing in Port Moresby where according to the bbc it is likely to be in the high 20’s and presumably sweatier than a Welshmans jockstrap

What was that embarrassing thing the Aussies were doing before the match.
Like something out of a shit musical cringeworthy.
Oh and we were soundly beaten again.

So shit that Rugby Union has pretty much morphed itself into 15-man RL with line-outs.

* hitches up red corduroy trousers*
Oh I say , steady on old chap

Actually a lot of them are fat South Sea Islanders

The positive I saw is that a few Tongans have actually stopped pretending to be Aussies and Kiwis and are playing for Tonga.
Perhaps rugby union should try that AND ALL

The war cry? They used to do it decades ago but dropped it. I don't want to see it come back to be honest.

So not so surprisingly England lose and Sam Burgess could be out for the tournament! Played well tho and we will only get better.

Was it like the very camp dance the All Blacks do before the matches.

England have the super coach in charge so definitely aren't out of it. They need more players in the NRL though. Super League is just too low a standard.

Well I just tried watching 5 minutes of the highlights and found it unwatchable with all those infuriating superimposed adverts plastered all over the pitch. So I'm out.
The Aussies are even more commercial than the Yanks, and that takes some doing.

So results today...

Wales get a tonking 50-6 by PNG

The Kiwis looked quite ominous against quite a handy Samoa side and won 38-8 and at the moment Fiji are dong the yanks 42-6 with 30 mins to play!

Northern Sold 12:25 Sat Oct 28
Jonathan Davies
Gareth Thomas
Scott Quinnell

The last was a rarity in that he was a forward who made the transition.

Ryan Giggs' dad played for Wales RL too.
